Jointworks

Jointworks is a collaboration between the clinical practice of Dr Jonathan J Negus and a number of academic surgeons, physiotherapists and research institutions across Australia, the UK and the US.

The ethos of the practice is to maximise orthopaedic outcomes through the application of best practice in surgery and physical therapy throughout each patient’s journey.

In practice, this is achieved through close collaboration with all members of each patient’s treating team from their referring GP to their treating physiotherapist. While surgery is the common factor for most patients seeing an Orthopaedic surgeon, the treatments offered at Jointworks can include non-operative therapies, prehabilitation and rehabilitation from surgery, all individualised to each patient’s particular needs.

These individual treatment programs are based upon the best available evidence where it exists. In the areas where evidence is lacking, Dr Negus and Jointworks will be researching the best options.

At all times, there are many research studies in progress and for details see the RESEARCH page.
